Episode 87 With Guest James G. Anderson - Next Life Universe, Getting into Writing, and Character Design

After waiting a while for someone to appear, the warrior hero decided he needed to get up and stretch. He wandered into the woods a bit, far enough away that he eventually lost sight of his friends. Instead of calling out for help, he decided it best to continue wandering around aimlessly for a while.
The other heroes, having decided to stay put, were eventually approached by a traveling writer. He sat down to tell them the way forward, and talked to them about his work. They discussed his Next Life Universe, how they got into writing, and what makes a character interesting.

Episode 86 - Old School Flash Games, Japanese Censorship, and MURDER?

Following the path, our heroes continue to walk along until they encounter a fork in the road. Not sure which way to head, they decide it would be better to wait until someone else came along to ask them for directions. They set up camp along the path and settled in to wait. While they rested, they reminisced on old school flash browser games, censorship in Japan, and then continued to ramble on for no real reason.

Episode 85 - Sick Dog, Back 4 Blood, and Splitgate

The warrior hero returned, and the heroes bid farewell to their new friend. The other heroes filled the warrior in on what he had missed, and then continued on their way. They talked about one of the hero's sick dog, Back 4 Blood, and the free-to-play game Splitgate.

Episode 84 With Guest Sockey31 - Starting a Twitch Channel, Building an Audience, and Reaching Twitch Affiliate

After leaving the village, the warrior hero realized that he left something behind. He decided to return to the village, while the other heroes sat down on the side of the path to wait. While relaxing, they are encountered by a young woman making her way towards the village. She takes a break to sit down and talk to them. They discuss setting up a Twitch Channel, building it up with an audience, and reaching Twitch Affiliate.

Episode 83 - Being a Doctor, COD Leaks, and Free Guy *Spoilers* - Time Stamps in Description

After deciding that the village would be safe with the elimination of the goblin horde, our heroes parted ways with their friends. They headed out of the village in route to their destination, a massive bonfire of goblin corpses burning behind them. In all honesty, they were happy to be leaving before the smell caused them to go insane. As they tried to clear their mind of the grotesque pile of bodies, they talked about how they couldn't be doctors, the recent leaks for COD Vanguard, and the new Film Free Guy.

Episode 82 With Guests Kloss and Daysia - B is For Brutal Podcast, Superhero Movies, and Lack of New Media

With the hobgoblin bearing down on them, our heroes raced to protect the villagers. Knowing they wouldn't be able to survive an attack from the creature, they had no choice but to separate them from the battle. The Jester quickly created a wall of fire, blocking the villagers off from participating in the fight. Facing down the remaining enemies alone, the heroes readied themselves.
The goblins numbered only about a dozen, and so they posed little threat compared to the hulking hobgoblin. It stood nearly twelve foot tall, and was muscular beyond belief. It wielded what appeared to be the remains of the bottom half of a tree, with the roots forming a spiky club. It stood behind the goblins, preparing to use them as a shield and counterattack.
Knowing this, the heroes decided to wait instead of attacking. This aggravated the goblins, as they knew they would either have to attack or retreat back to the forest in defeat. Eventually they rushed the heroes, with the hobgoblin right behind them. The heroes met them with swings of their weapons. Bones cracked, and skulls were crushed as the limp goblin bodies fell to the ground. As the swordsman hero spun and slit the throat of one goblin, the hobgoblin sprung up behind him and slammed his makeshift club down. As it was about to connect with its target, the club was intercepted by a spear.
Having its attack knocked off course, the hobgoblin angrily looked to the origin of the thrown spear. A Young Man stood happily looking back at the creature. To his side, a shadow moved out of the hobgoblin's view. It turned to see what it was, but was suddenly pummeled in the side of its face. Teeth flew from its skull, and the hobgoblin stumbled backward. Regaining its bearings, the hobgoblin discovered it had been hit by a Young Woman wearing spiked gauntlets.
Preparing to swing its club at the Young Woman, the hobgoblin never saw the Warrior Hero swing his flail into the back of its leg. Upon connecting, the hobgoblin's knee was smashed to pieces. It crumpled to the ground, and the Swordsman Hero lunged at its throat. It parried his first slash, but was caught off guard when he spun and quickly slit its throat with a quick-draw technique with his second blade. Before he could leap away from the creature, the hobgoblin grabbed the swordsman hero's leg and prepared to snap him in half. Before it could, the spear found its way into the back of the creature's skull and out through its left eye.
The Swordsman Hero dropped to the ground, and rolled away. The large body of the hobgoblin fell to the ground with a thud, dust kicking out from all sides. Drawing his spear from the slain hobgoblin's head, the man was revealed to be the Hero's' old friend Kloss! He introduced the young woman as Daysia. The heroes thanked them for their assistance, and turned to the village. The villagers had seen the large creature fall, and so they had begun to put out the fires. As the light from the fires faded, darkness returned to the village.
The villagers lit a few torches, and they gathered to discuss the battle. Meanwhile, our Heroes sat down with their friends and talked. They discussed the "B is For Brutal" Podcast, their dislike of superhero movies, and the lack of new movies and games.

Episode 81 - Man We Hate COD, Green Hell, and The Green Knight

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, our heroes began to hear a rustling of leaves. The villagers, being inexperienced in combat, must have assumed the noise was the wind blowing the field of grass. They were mistaken. Our heroes quickly realized that the goblins were on the move. They signaled to the villagers to prepare for combat.
The rustling grew closer, allowing the muffled shuffling of feet to be heard. Those in the village held their ground, waiting for the enemy to get closer. The noise grew louder, and louder still. When it seemed the approaching party was upon them, the heroes motioned for the villagers to act.
At once, they lit torches and began throwing them into the field. The dry grass immediately burst into flames. The wall of fire lit up the area, and revealed the mob of goblins for the village to see. Seeing them numbering over a hundred, the villagers grew terrified of their odds of survival. The goblins, realizing this, began to knock back the flames to break through. The villagers prepared to flee, but see our heroes rushing to fill the gap in the flames. Seeing this, they are reinvigorated and get set to fight.
Our heroes slash their way to the other side of the fire, and set themselves in the path between the goblins and villagers. Taking out a number of goblins, the Jester fires off magical spells of all kinds. Fire, electricity, and water flew all around. Our Swordsman Hero slashed with both of his swords, weaving in between the Jester's spells. The Warrior Hero smashed group after group of goblins with his mace, leaving a small crater in the wake of each swing.
With the heroes taking care of most of the fighting, the villagers worked together to deal with any goblins that slipped through the flames. Using pitchforks, woodcutting axes, and anything they could find, they fought as hard as they could to defend their village.
Sensing that the tide of the battle was going in their favor, the villagers began to shout encouragements to the heroes. The heroes noticed the remaining goblins were backing off a bit, but did not retreat entirely. This concerned the heroes, as it seemed unnatural. As their doubts set in, their fears were realized. A large, hulking figure came running out of the treeline. A hobgoblin. Realizing that the battle wasn't over yet, our heroes braced for the worst of the fight. They thought of how much they talked poorly about COD, their new obsession with the game "Green Hell", and about seeing the new movie "The Green Knight."

Episode 80 - VR Games, Activision Drama, and Leaky Ceilings

With night setting in, our heroes keep an eye on the forest's tree line. They saw nothing for a time, but finally they spot a small light. At first it seemed as though it were simply a firefly, but eventually they realized it was a small torch. Slowly, a few more popped up all along the forest's edge. Quietly, the heroes began moving around the village to wake the residents to warn them to begin preparing for an attack.
While keeping their lights out, the villagers began gathering what weapons they had. Whether it was pitchforks or woodcutting axes, they armed themselves and sat ready for an assault on the village. Meanwhile, our heroes crouched down behind the outlying fence and peered out towards the forest. They saw the lights had been hastily hidden behind some trees, and then eventually put out. As they readied themselves for battle, our heroes thought to themselves. They thought of some of the new VR games they had played, the recent legal drama surrounding Activision due to their sexual mistreatment of their female employees, and leaky ceilings in their apartments.
